FAQ:
What is Commit and how can it help me quit smoking?
Commit is the first FDA-approved smoking cessation treatment in the form of a fast-acting nicotine lozenge. Commit helps control cravings by rapidly delivering medicine to help relieve symptoms. The medicine is absorbed directly through the lining in the mouth, and continues working after the lozenge is gone. Commit offers a dosage selector, based on how soon you smoke your first cigarette in the morning, to help you choose the right strength. Commit is available in a convenient Poppac™ for discreet use whenever, wherever. And now comes in your choice of Cappuccino, Cherry, Mint, and Original flavors clinically proven to help you quit. Does the Commit Lozenge work like the gum?
Like Nicorette® gum, Commit provides an alternative source of nicotine when you are quitting without exposing you to the harmful tars and carbon monoxide in cigarette smoke. But the actual usage is different. Each stop-smoking lozenge is meant to slowly dissolve until it is gone. Do not chew or swallow the lozenge. With Nicorette, you use a specific technique (”chew and park”) instead.
Commit also comes in different strengths – 2mg or 4mg – to be used depending on how soon you smoke your first cigarette in the morning.
